Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev held talks with Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, focusing on strengthening trade, economic and investment ties.
The discussions centered on expanding cooperation in industry, including mining, metallurgy, critical minerals and infrastructure development. The ministers also explored opportunities for joint projects in the mining sector and greater participation of Saudi companies in investment initiatives in Kazakhstan.
Kosherbayev highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries, noting recent agreements on the establishment of the Kazakhstan–Saudi Coordination Council and the reciprocal protection of investments.
The sides additionally exchanged views on water security and prospects for broader international cooperation in this area.
Al-Khorayef expressed Saudi Arabia’s interest in deepening practical cooperation across the full spectrum of bilateral relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Kazakhstan–Saudi Arabia partnership.
