As part of the Government Action Plan to ensure economic growth, Baiterek National Management Holding plans to provide significant support to Kazakhstan's economy amounting to approximately 3.5 trillion tenge. This was announced at a government meeting by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
"The government is actively leveraging the resources and funds of Samruk-Kazyna and Baiterek Holding, the domestic capital market, foreign direct investment, and private capital to finance priority economic projects. Through Baiterek Holding, it is planned to finance projects worth more than 3 trillion tenge this year," stated Olzhas Bektenov.
Most of the support will be provided through direct support instruments, with 2.8 trillion tenge allocated as follows:
- Financing projects in the real sector of the economy: approximately 1.4 trillion tenge
- Financing agricultural projects, including spring sowing and harvesting: more than 0.5 trillion tenge
- Supporting the housing sector: around 0.4 trillion tenge
- Implementing the Nauryz and Otau mortgage programs: 0.4 trillion tenge
- Supporting exporters and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): 32 billion tenge
Additionally, more than 700 billion tenge will be allocated through indirect support instruments, such as guarantees, subsidies, and insurance:
- Provision of guarantees for investment and SME projects: over 150 billion tenge
- Provision of subsidies to SMEs: around 300 billion tenge
- Insurance of export operations: approximately 300 billion tenge
This initiative aims to strengthen economic stability and stimulate growth in key sectors of Kazakhstan's economy.
