Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Yerzhan Yelekeyev held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese corporation WEIGAO, during which the parties discussed the possibility of localizing the production of medical equipment in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Thus, Zhang Yong, General Director of WEIGAO, told Kazakhstani representatives about the corporation's work in the production of coronary stents for cardiovascular diseases, prostheses, hemodialysis equipment for blood purification, as well as about the prospects for localization of production in Kazakhstan. Earlier, the management of WEIGAO met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova, and the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gabidulla Ospankulov, to discuss the possibility of building a plant for the production of this equipment.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board Y. Yelekeyev stressed the positive growth in the number of Chinese companies seeking to localize production in Kazakhstan.
"We are pleased to see the growing interest from representatives of the Chinese business community and an active desire to do business in Kazakhstan. This indicates successful work, including those carried out within the framework of the last SCO Summit, visits of Heads of State, and other various events. Kazakhstan and China are entering a new stage of relations characterized by strengthening economic cooperation, strengthening ties between business communities, and increasing investment," Y. Yelekeyev noted.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Management Board told Chinese investors about the mechanisms and measures of state support, the investment climate in Kazakhstan, and new promising areas in the healthcare field within the framework of bilateral cooperation. In particular, a new mechanism of Investment agreements was presented, designed for large projects worth more than $ 60 million.
In turn, the representatives of WEIGAO thanked the Kazakh side for their time and expressed hope for successful cooperation in implementing promising projects.
