According to the energy balance until 2035, the introduction of 17.5 GW of capacities is planned. Considering the absence of power equipment production in Kazakhstan, this direction is promising for localization.

On the platform of "NC" KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, the Chairman of the for Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ardak Zebeshev, and the Acting Chairman of the Board of the national company, Zhandos Temirgali, held a meeting with representatives of the Hungarian National Association of Mechanical and Power Engineering (MAGEOSZ).

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation and the possibilities of localizing the production of power equipment in the territory of Kazakhstan. According to the energy balance until 2035, the introduction of 17.5 GW of capacities is planned. Considering the absence of power equipment production in Kazakhstan, this direction is promising for localization.

Ardak Zebeshev highlighted the advantages of investing in Kazakhstan, the favorable business climate of the country, state support measures for the implementation of investment projects, and assured readiness to provide full support to Hungarian projects in Kazakhstan, including the possibility of concluding an investment contract and organizing necessary negotiations with state authorities.

Dr. Ugron Gaspar Gabo, the President of the association, emphasized that Hungarian companies are interested in implementing joint investment projects, especially in light of deepening cooperation through the toolset of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, to Kazakhstan.

In turn, Zhandos Temirgali, Acting Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST, discussed the activities of the national company, noting that the countries have significant potential for expanding relations. According to him, Hungary has invested over $296 million in Kazakhstan, with about 35% of this amount ($105.8 million) attracted in the last three and a half years, indicating the growing interest of Hungarian businesses in Kazakhstan.

Additionally, the Kazakhstan-Hungary Forum on Sustainable Development, Energy, and Technologies took place in Astana. On the sidelines of the forum, Altynai Mukanova, Head of Cooperation with European Countries, held a series of meetings with members of the Hungarian delegation. In particular, discussions were held with Pureco Kft. on the implementation of a project for the purification of water treatment facilities and systems for the collection, storage, and processing of rainwater. This also included systems for the collection and distribution of drinking water and wastewater for the regions of the country, in collaboration with relevant central government agencies.
