As a result of the round table, 18 commercial agreements on joint investment projects in various sectors of the economy totaling more than $1.5 billion were signed. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Italy, and JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST."
Thus, JSC "NC "KazMunayGas" and ENI signed a document implementing a joint project to construct a hybrid power plant with a total capacity of 247 MW. It is worth noting that ENI is an Italian multinational energy company, the largest oil company in Italy, the second largest in the European Union, and the 13th largest globally.
KIID and Cormatex signed an agreement to create a consortium to construct and launch a plant in Aktobe to produce thermal insulation materials. The first batch of finished products is planned to be released in 2024.
The agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Qazaq Stroy LLP, and Ballestra is aimed at determining the conditions and deadlines for the implementation of the project for the construction of a sulfuric acid plant with a capacity of 800 thousand tons per year in the Turkestan region. Ballestra is a leading licensed contractor for producing sulfuric and phosphoric acids.
The agreement between TNK AGROFIRMA LLP and Bonifiche Ferraresi involves cooperation in organic grain production. Bonifiche Ferraresi is one of the largest Italian agricultural holding companies engaged in cultivating and marketing agricultural products.
JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" and Simest have agreed to cooperate in attracting Italian companies to Kazakhstan to open joint ventures. The Simest association provides financial support to Italian companies, facilitating their entry into foreign markets.
The agreement signed by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NEOS aims to open a regular direct flight in the direction of Astana-Rome. The air service will significantly simplify Kazakhstanis' access to the main economic and tourist markets of Italy and the European Union. It will positively impact the growth of business activity, increased trade, expansion of investment cooperation, and attraction of tourist flow to Kazakhstan.
These and other signed agreements symbolize the successful development and strengthening of economic relations between Kazakhstan and Italy.
