Ardak Zebeshev, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Assel Suankulova, Deputy Director of the Investment and Marketing Department of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, held several meetings with representatives of Qatari business on the eve of the official visit of the Kazakh Head of State to Qatar.
Thus, negotiations on bilateral investment cooperation were held with the management of companies such as ITAG International Qatar, Al Faisal Holding, and Qatar Free Zones. Kazakh representatives presented the investment climate in the country, government support measures, and opportunities for Qatari business to the heads of companies.
At the meeting with ITAG International Qatar, issues of promising cooperation in the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed. ITAG is a company that manufactures a wide range of modern oilfield equipment for the global market. The Qatari side has expressed interest in expanding relations with Kazakhstan through the implementation of a project for the production of oil equipment in the Atyrau region.
Issues related to the development of bilateral investment relations in the fields of tourism, construction and hospitality were discussed with Al Faisal Holding, Qatar's largest private holding company. The company plays a vital role in developing the country's economy and infrastructure, being one of the leading, reputable commercial structures in the Middle East. The conglomerate's areas of interest include the hospitality industry, tourism and construction businesses, real estate, banking sector, education, medicine, information technology, and the service sector.
During the meeting with Qatar Free Zones, issues of deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening work to promote investment potential and establish partnerships were discussed. Qatar Free Zones is a management company whose goal is to support the country's economic development and create a cluster of international–level free zones in Qatar, attracting anchor investments.
