Nurlan Zhakupov, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, met with Mr. Olivier Becht, the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness of the French Republic.
Speaking on the importance of cooperation, the Head of the Kazakhstan Fund said: “Today there are more than 170 companies with French capital in Kazakhstan, including such large transnational companies as Total, Orano, Alstom, Danone, Air Liquide, Vicat and others. Samruk-Kazyna group cooperates with French partners in important sectors of the economy: oil, energy, as well as atomic industry. I believe that joint work will achieve further significant expansion of cooperation between representatives of French business and Samruk-Kazyna”, - said N. Zhakupov.
The speaker also expressed gratitude to the representatives of the diplomatic sphere for systematic measures on strengthening Kazakh-French cooperation.
The representatives of the French delegation spoke about various issues related to promising projects and current cooperation. The parties also discussed implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to France in November 2022, during which a number of agreements were concluded. Managers and executives of portfolio companies of the Samruk-Kazyna group such as KazMunayGas,Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Air Astana and QazaqGaz, which have experience in joint work with French companies, were invited to the meeting.
