According to Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev, Kazakhstan is planning to increase oil output to 100 million tons by 2030, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The minister told the KIOGE conference in Almaty that oil production in Kazakhstan had reached 90 mln tons (655 mln barrels) in 2023, while oil exports during the previous year had amounted to 70.5 mln tons (517 mln barrels).
“The objective is to increase oil production to 100 mln tons per year (approximately 730 mln barrels) by 2030,” he said.
In terms of natural gas production, the figure reached 59.1 bln cubic meters in 2023, with a projected increase to 90.7 bln cubic meters by 2030.
